Mythical Na'iik

It’s so beautiful, that frankly, you’ll never want to leave. Tucked into the dense jungle of the Sian Ka’an biosphere, the only neighbors you see will be the flocks of pelicans and sea hunting osprey flying overhead. Your view from the rooftop terrace will be an endless sea of lush jungle, turquoise water and infinite sky. Do some laps in the infinity pool, jump on a kayak and go explore the coral reef, take a boat and visit the manatees in the lagoon, or watch the crocodiles from the bridge...there’s so much to choose from. Perhaps you’ll feel that a mellow walk on the white sand beach is your rhythm for the moment or it could even be that you’d rather stay at home and lay back with your book in the cocopalm lounge. At this fully serviced estate, you will have time to do any and all of that.

Then when you are ready to venture out further, drive north for an evening in Tulum playa, where you can experience all the trendy nightlife, world renowned restaurants and incredible shopping that Tulum is famous for.  Or go a little farther to get a taste of some local culture and visit the UNESCO protected mayan pyramids in Tulum or Coba—the later on being one of the few where you can still climb the stairs to the top and get that mayan priest view! After climbing up, it may be time to go down. Down below sea level into the cenotes, a natural wonder that, if you are a diver, is a must see. Luis Leal at Dos Ojos will insure our diving guests will have an amazing experience.

A day trip to the historic Valladolid to see the Convent of San Bernardino is definitely worth it.  Then for lunch, order the nachos Yucatan at the Taberna de los Frailes, you won’t regret it. Since you’ll need to walk off those nachos anyway, why not continue to wander down the Calzada de Los Frailes where you’ll find the finest in artisanal craftsmanship. You’ll definitely need to treat yourself to a lovely bottle of Maderas from the perfumeria of Coqui Coqui.  On another day, you can adventure south on the dirt road to the sleepy fishing town of Punta Allen which some describe as the end of the world.
